The new release is Zea - Ethiopia Tour 2008 audio-cassette (dream 39).
An in Ethiopia manufactured compilation 60 minutes audio-cassette comprising a selection of songs from the Zea albums "Today I Forgot To Complain" and "Insert Parallel Universe" with as a bonus track "Song For Electricity", a Zea song based on the Ethiopian song "Bogiye" by Abonesh Adenew.
Few copies available in the shop.

 

 

 

Zea (with Remko returning for this special trip) will be doing five gigs in Ethiopia between May 13 - 23, including a performance at the 7th edition of the "Ethiopian Music Festival" in the Alizé Club in Addis Abeba. For dates see gig-guide.
To celebrate this, an Ethiopia-manufactured cassette "Ethiopia Tour 2008" will be released on Transformed Dreams (dream 39). The cassette consists of a compilation of the Zea albums "Today I Forgot To Complain" and "Insert Parallel Universe" plus as a bonus track the new song "Song For Electricity", based on the Abonesh Adenew song "Bogiye".
The bonus track will also be available as free download from the Zea-website, together with a Zea remix of the Wallias Band song "Muziqawi Silt".

It’s a compilation LP (vinyl only) and consists of tracks of the bands that also play our “Hit The North” – festival. The record will be presented during the festival and is available in Holland from October 30. Release date for the UK is December 4.

The song “Happy” from Persil’s “Tune-Up” CD-EP got another spinning on BBC Radio 1. This time on Rob Da Bank’s “One Musicprogramme.

 

 

 

Our next release is a 7”-single (dream 34) by a band called Space Siren. They are guitar player Corno Zwetsloot and drummer Ineke Duivenvoorde, core-members of defunct Dutch band Seesaw (who released two albums on Transformed Dreams).
The songs are: “Verschwende Deine Jugend”, a cover version of the Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft classic (written by Robert Gold and Gabi Delgado-Lopez from the 1981 album “Gold Und Liebe” on Virgin records) with guest-vocals by former Seesaw singer Astacat and “Lullaby (Get Ready)”, a Space Siren written almost instrumental song.
Release dates are: June 27 (NL) and July 18 (UK).

It’s his contribution to a forthcoming 12” release with further remixes of Zea-songs by Melt Banana, Jason Forrest/Donna Summer and Felix Kubin. This autumn, Seedling will cease to be. The group feel they have fulfilled the band's potential, and that it is better to stop before they repeat themselves musically.
Although individual band members will continue to make music, Seedling does not expect her current combination of four people to add anything more to pop music than it has already done.
 

The band will round off her existence with a number of gigs in the Netherlands in October. Their final gig will take place in "Upstairs at the Garage" in London on November 5th, in the country that musically has become their second home.

Because of differences in opinion about how to proceed musically, zeas line-up has, for the time being, been brought back to its core: singer/songwriter/guitar-player Arnold de Boer and keyboard-player Remko Muermans.

Under license of Transformed Dreams, Groningen label High Maintenance has released an LP bij Green Hornet. Tracks are taken from the cd Going down, the 10 Heavyweights and the EP Like it like that.

Seedling will be off to London again to do a gig at the Dublin Castle venue on January 19, prior to recording their first studio recorded session (after having done two live-sessions in 2001) for BBC Radio 1 DJ John Peel.

Transformed Dreams has three of its 2001 releases in BBC-Radio 1 DJ John Peels Festive Fifty. The Festive Fifty is compiled of the listeners votes for their favourite tracks of the year. Green Hornet will do a 36-day European tour as a support and as backing band for legendary R&B artist Andr Mr. Rhythm Williams in November and December. See gig-guide for details.

Release date for a new 7"-e.p. (dream 18/FAKE 2) in co-operation with magazine FAKE is October 22. Featured artists: Zoppo (non-album track), Biochip C, Prop & Lilani and Helgoland.

Release date for Zoppo's third album 'Les Aumonts' is October 15. The festive release party is at the 'Night of Transformed Dreams' on October 17 in the Paradiso upstairs room.
